"This was our 2nd stay when visiting Portsmouth for gigs. The hotel team are always very freindly and helpful. The breakfast is always good with good selection of fruits and juices to compliment ( if you actually have room). Free parking on a 1st come basis. All in all a great place to stay when in Pompey!"

"Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships."

We needed three rooms, and staff had arranged that they were three adjacent rooms, which was good. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very accommodating - we needed some breakfasts to take away for some of our party who were out running during breakfast service. "A relaxing feel runs through the hotel and out into the gardens. The view from the restaurant is beautiful. Herons love it too! The staff were smiley and attentive, Our room was clean and the towels soft and fluffy. We made use of the spa facilities every day. The pool temperature was great for us."

"A fantastic BnB, the owner has done a great job creating a really nice property here that also has a cool laid-back vibe as well as all the amenities you could wish for. Couldn’t have been more helpful as a host too - wish we’d stayed longer but as we were on a tour round the island we only had one night!"

"If you are travelling from Southampton Central Railway station, it is best to take a bus right at the train station and then walk 5 minutes to the hotel. About 10 minutes walk passing thru the park to many eating places."

"Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay . On arrival found we had everything we needed in our lovely clean room which was being serviced daily as were the restocking of nice biscuits , choice of beverages etc on tea tray. "Location excellent for attractions. Reception was nice and a bit quirky. Room was a bit bland although recently refurbished. Breakfast was adequate. Air conditioning in the room would have been nice, a fan was provided. If the temperature had been any warmer it could have been a problem. The room felt very outdated, and the bathroom had noticeable dust and buildup, giving the impression that it had not been cleaned thoroughly. "A very lovely, friendly and comfortable hotel. Staff were super friendly. Restaurant food was great. À la carte breakfast was also very good but there was no fruit offered which I was disappointed with. Times were also a little tight from breakfast, dinner, room cleaning and checkout but it was a small hotel so this is understandable. I would definitely stay here again. Thankyou."

"It was a very mixed stay, although overall it was positive. The first room we were given was very dirty. The walls in particular were yellow and marked, including hand prints on the walls and mould on the curtains (pictured attached).
