"Room large and comfortable, bed especially so. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast unusual that everything was warm and fresh, plates in warmer. Hotel in excellent central position. The only thing we didn't like was the fairly loud 'music' playing constantly in the breakfast area."

"Love the interior design of the hotel, the reception is beautiful the bar/restaurant looks lovely too, however room I was in wasn't up my my standards especially with what I paid. I think mini bar should be on request only and having a £50 holding fee/deposit is absurd. Won't be back again, was nice ..."

Lumley Castle Hotel
"The coach house rooms are quite small and rather dated. The room I stayed in ( number 6) had a piece of flooring that if it was not for the fitted carpet/underlay I swear I’d have fallen through. The shower was in the eves of the room which meant for a 6’1” man I am the shower head was around shoulder ..."

"Actually, the only week link of the entire state was the breakfast buffet. Items not hot. Fresh fruit embarrassingly limited. Coffee was great. And the staff excellent."

Royal Station Hotel
"I probably got the noisiest room on the 1st floor by the main road. Bed was comfortable. windows were not clean to view outside! Old style amenities but doable. On the positive side- Staff was really friendly and helpful. Location was great for easy access to town centre, train station etc."
