"This was our 2nd stay when visiting Portsmouth for gigs. The hotel team are always very freindly and helpful. The breakfast is always good with good selection of fruits and juices to compliment ( if you actually have room). Free parking on a 1st come basis. All in all a great place to stay when in Pompey!"

"Hotel is easy to find and has plenty of parking. Rooms were fine, with enough space and necessary facilities. We needed three rooms, and staff had arranged that they were three adjacent rooms, which was good. "Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships."

"The hotel is outdated and in need of renovation, particularly the guest rooms. The location was inconvenient and not close to the places we wanted to visit. "Lovely stay"

"Callum was absolutely fantastic in making up for the deficiencies of the bar staff, who were slow, and nonchalant. He went the extra mile and restored my faith in good customer service. Pool, gym and facilities are great, as was the room and plenty of parking."

"The staff was friendly and helpful but the rooom was very small and dated. The carpet was stained and the bathroom wall had two colors of paint. The beds were not comfortable. It is a no cash hotel so a card must be used for the smallest of purchases."

"Excellent location right opposite the castle. Very comfortable and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Good food at the 18 restaurant with a 30 per cent discount for hotel guests. Would definitely return in the future."

"Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! À la carte breakfast was also very good but there was no fruit offered which I was disappointed with.
