"The view was great, it was right on the beach. The cleanliness was terrible. I don’t believe the bedding had been changed on one of the beds, as it still had blue candy stuck all over it. The bathroom was terrible and the shower definitely had not been cleaned. Exposed wires on ceiling, a smashed up bathroom door, and a leaking fridge. This is not what we were expecting after reading the reviews. Very disappointing. "

"I stayed here exactly 2 years ago for about the same amount of time(5 days/4 nights) and back then it was 5 stars. This stay was definitely not up to par. The breakfast was ok, when it was even out there!!! "This hotel was absolutely disgusting. There was pee on the bed sheet upon checking in, and a strong cigarette smell in the room. Upon talking to the general manager, he told us to go to the housekeeper to get a room change. When approaching the housekeeper, he was smoking a cigarette while cleaning the room. "It’s an older property as fast as HI’s go but still clean and comfortable. Even better, the staff were great! Bryan at the front desk is someone I remembered from a stay at the HGI in Chesapeake - top notch. Karen hosted breakfast and sang softly to the soundtrack.
