"Although small, it was a really well-designed room for me and my niece sharing a room at such a good location at a reasonable price. Lots of charging spots, tv for each bed, 2 pillows per bed. Only thing I wish was different was the frosted glass walls for the bathroom - would be nice to have a fan or different walls for more privacy."

"The best things about this hotel are location & rooftop. The lobby was also fairly nice. The reason for a less than stellar review is the desperate need for a refresh of the rooms & systems. It is simply worn and the band-aid efforts to keep it together are on borrowed time. Examples: a/c was barely working, the window shade was old & broken, the furniture is worn with drawers not staying closed, the bathroom was old with peeling paint on the door and baseboards, pillows were lumpy, etc. The...

"This hotel is pricey but it makes up for it for the amenities and convenience that is close to subway and train stations and it is walking distance from many tourist destinations like Madison Square Garden, Times Square, etc. It is very modern, has many places to lounge or work while you wait to check in, has a nice college or artsy vibe. The only thing we didn't like is that the room air conditioner doesn't cool properly, it shut off and on all through the night which made for trouble sleeping....

"We've sadly just finished a wonderful 7 night stay at the Arlo Midtown. From the warm and friendly greeting, to the spotlessly clean room and comfortable bed, I couldn't find fault with anything (OK, if I'm being really fussy whoever designed the narrow ground floor lift lobby perhaps didn't think it through properly ;-)). The location is fantastic, with everything in Midtown within walking distance and easy access to subway lines and Penn Station, not to mention many great restaurants, diners...

"The property is has a very convenient location. The staff was friendly and advised me that my queen room would be the side of a closet so we chose a double bed room instead. I wasn't too happy with the smaller bed, but was happy with the larger room. Having to get ice from the lobby was inconvenient and the bar was never open during my time there. Why promote it if it doesn't exist. The rooms were clean. Also, be aware that the have an additional daily charge that isn't disclosed on Expedia...
