"Everyone is so nice here. The place is beautiful and I highly recommend. Very clean and comfortable. The dinner was AMAZING! Also, one thing I really love is the private onsen is a good size in your room. It allows for you and your significant other to relax together. If I were to go to Hakone again, I’d for sure consider staying here again! Thank you everyone! "

"What a magical hotel complex! The buildings and grounds are absolutely beautiful and impeccably maintained. The hospitality we experienced was like none other. The hotel was easily accessed via the Tozan train. It's a short walk to the hotel from Miyanoshita Station, but there is a hotel shuttle available if preferred. We stayed in the Forest Wing and the rooms were comfortable (firm mattress!) and clean. The breakfast was delicious with amazing presentation on China and silver dishes. So many things to explore - the outdoor gardens, the onsen, the pool, the gym, the museum, and the coffee/beverage room. I would come back to Japan/Hakone just for this stay! Arigato gozaimasu!"

"The Taeikan was in a perfect location for getting to the train station and to visit the shops in the area. The food was exceptional!!!!The ambiance was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed the onsen. Our hostess was new to Japan and to Yaeikan, but she surpassed any of our expectations. She was excellent!!! I highly recommend Yaeikan!"

"The staff are top notch, and the hotel is right near the Hakone Yumoto line with multiple options for travel that use the Hakone Free Pass. There are many restaurants near. Bathroom was a little dated, but everything was immaculate. Would recommend. "
