We tried to go to the Izakaya on the second floor on our first night there and we're told "we full" and shooed out even though there were empty tables clearly visible. That kind of turned us off of trying any of the other restaurants there. Otherwise a good stay."

"We loved our stay here, the bath on the balcony was so relaxing and peaceful and there are both public and private onsens that can be used when available. My husband and I used the private onsens and enjoyed the free ice cream and drinks also available at all times. The kaiseki breakfast and dinners were a great experience and a good opportunity to try traditional Japanese cuisine. The staff are very kind, welcoming and friendly and it’s about a 10 minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto station."
