"Very old traditional Ryokan. Beautiful garden/riverside views. We did not realize that there are no private baths - that was a big surprise but we were only there one night so it wasn't that problematic. Staff were very accommodating and Google Translate made communication very easy."

"We really enjoyed our traditional Japanese room complete with our own private onsen. There is very little English spoken at the hotel but a lot of effort put into ensuring we were comfortable. It is a 20 minute walk from the train station but that was fine and a nice relaxing way to end the day. There is also a hotel shuttle but it is very crowded so we opted to walk instead. We booked the half board (breakfast and dinner) with our stay and it was absolutely fantastic. The quality of the food...

"This a small Ryokan which is very authentic Japanese style. No English spoken but this adds to the authenticity. We loved the natural accommodation which was exactly as shown on the website. Excellent meal provided in the evening and an enormous breakfast which we were not expecting so was a bonus. We lounged about in out Japanese clothes provided and Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this clean and peaceful retreat. "
