The staff experience was extremely disappointing. When we arrived, we asked for water so my mother could take her medication, and the front desk refused to give us even water until we had completed check-in. This lack of basic courtesy was alarming.
We had booked two identical rooms: one for 2 nights and another for 4 nights. At check-in, staff failed to clarify which reservation corresponded to which room. When we later tried to check my parents out of the 2-night room, we were told that my husband and I would be required to physically move to the other room even though the rooms were identical, the same price, and right next to each other simply because the other reservation was for 4 nights.
When we asked whether the second room could be cleaned so we could switch smoothly, we were told no deep cleaning would be done and not until after 10 a.m. We then reasonably requested that the room dates be swapped instead, given the rooms were identical. The front desk agent flatly refused, became visibly angry, and claimed we would have to pay extra due to “hotel policy.” His behavior was aggressive and completely unprofessional.
I de-escalated the situation and left to take my parents to the airport. When I returned a few hours later with my husband, a different front desk attendant immediately changed the room dates without any issue. This showed that the earlier staff member was deliberately being difficult. Rude, inconsistent staff ruined our stay.
