Hotel is pretty nice. Location is so-so. Probably better for a conference at the nearby Osaka convention center. Surrounded by 3x hospitals so I imagine medical conferences are common. Rooms are clean and well-appointed. Staff is very helpful - especially Bell staff. Disappointed to pay additionally just to use the pool but this is a very unique ammennity in japan. Approximately $35/person per day to use the pool. Breakfast buffet is exceptional if you pay extra for that. Location is okay but not great. 15 min walk to the subway and 3x stops gets you to Dotonbouri if you want to do touristy stuff. There's a shuttle that takes you directly to Osaka station which is great for transfer to other locations but be warned you need to transfer to SHIN-osaka station to use the Shinkansen (bullet train for example if travelling to world-famous Himeji castle or travelling to Tokyo). The train-station shuttle drops you off about a half block from the main entrance to the train station and you need to go through the main entrance of the train station or you will have all sorts of problems. Room service options were surprisingly disappointing if you didn't want Japanese dining after 5pm. Most of the other types of cuisine were discontinued after 4:30-5pm so if you wanted pizza or a burger make sure to order before 5pm. Don't ask me why.
