"The staff was very helpful, gave us a lot of suggestions to local food and drinks. The location was brilliant, right next to downtown Carmel and 8min walk to beach. They also serve breakfast to your door around 8 am daily, which is delicious and has balanced ingredients. My only complaint is the soundproofing was poor, you can easily hear the voice in the next room. Fortunately everyone was mostly quiet during my stay."

"The room was amazing. We usually choose budget options because we only spend the night in the room. This was the best room we have stayed in South Lake Tahoe so far. We didn't want to leave the room in the morning. The good: - Clean - Yellow lights instead of white lights - Very tasteful decoration - Fireplace! - Coffee maker in the room - Very comfortable for quality/price - Spacious (for the price) "

"I had a good night's stay at the Westcott. The mattress was a bit too soft for my comfort. I would have liked to have drinking water glasses in the room and also brighter reading lights at bedside. The pictures / mirrors in the room and hanging rail in the bathroom were askew. Some cupboards were a bit grungy and some didn't open. The breakfast was quite adequate. The pool loked inviting and I'd have surely taken a swim if I'd staiyed longer. I would have preferred the large cats lurking by...

"Have stayed here several times and it's been a great experience. My only real issue is that in the villas they do not offer housekeeping service. They will remove trash and refresh towels upon request but for the amounts paid, it's sad that housekeeping basically no longer is a part of the high rates we already pay. "
