"Nice clean hotel with very friendly staff. Good sized rooms the only major issue we had was the pillows. They were so hard, no give in them at all like they’re trying to push you out of bed. They have 4 pillows per room you would think they would place options in the room soft and hard. Oh and I nearly forgot the main swimming Pool absolutely perfect."

"We really loved our stay at The Sands. The staff were fabulous, the hotel was immaculate and it was all really well thought-out with everything you could need in one place. We would definitely come back to The Sands. The only area that could possibly be improved was the breakfast. Sometimes food - particularly fruit and yoghurt was left uncovered, which attracted flies and put me off eating there."

"The Leaf on The Sands by Katathani is an affordable 4-star resort in the heart of Khao Lak, surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens and greenery. It has a peaceful, low-rise layout that gives the property a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. One of my favorite features was the two swimming pools and the swim-up bar. It is a great place to spend the afternoon, relax in the water, and enjoy a drink without having to leave the pool. The breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of food and plenty of choices to start the day. It was one of the highlights of my stay. The staff were very pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Their welcoming attitude added to the overall experience and made the resort feel comfortable and inviting. The resort is also conveniently located for exploring Khao Lak and is only a short distance from Nang Thong Beach. The tropical gardens, pools, good breakfast, and friendly staff make it a very enjoyable place to stay. What Future Travelers Should Know If you are looking for a resort that offers a peaceful tropical setting, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, and a great pool with a swim-up bar, The Leaf on The Sands by Katathani is worth considering. I would happily stay here again and recommend it to other travelers visiting Khao Lak."

"The hotel very good location beautiful front of the beach. The hotel room very clean and modern they are clean the rooms every day and they are gives a water unlimited every day. The staff are so friendly polite and very helpful for everything you want.Also the fitness are 24 hours they are have enough of equipment for gym areas.They are amazing breakfast every staffs at the restaurant are so helpful and polite friendly excellent service. Exceptional hotel."

"The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels left for us, however bed sheets were only changed after 8 or 9 days, subsequently every 2 days. Seems to be a family run business. No information provided; had to ask questions from where to get pool towels to which wifi to log onto. That said, whenever there was an issue they were immediately on it. Breakfast was fine, but coffee is instant., so we only used it when we had to ie early morning tour. There is a restaurant along the main street that serves a good breakfast with great coffee, also a place that has a buffet breakfast not far. I did not find the AC powerful. We had it set to 17, as the coolest, just to get it as cool as possible, but it was nowhere near that. The wifi was spotty-some days worked fine and other days did not (for my purposes-remote work-using VPN). The grounds and pool are lovely. The beach is absolutely beautiful and unspoiled. Be sure to explore in both directions. It is not a far walk from the bungalows. The town has plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and a night market. There are sidewalks. "

"This was an excellent choice for a resort stay. It has easy access to the beach and the rooms are clean and spacious. Staff are kind and polite. I was impressed with the sea view at the restaurant while eating breakfast. Definitely a good choice for convenience and value for money."
