"This is basically a motel room. The "suite" was about a 100 sq ft room, including a "kitchenette" (sink, microwave & mini fridge) and the bathroom. PROS: it's convenient to (though not ON) the beach, it's pretty affordable, & the staff is nice. CONS: Water pressure in the bath is a TRICKLE (if you have hair to wash, forget it), no hooks or space to hang wet clothes or anything, and the noisy AC dripped water from Day 1 and eventually leaked so badly we woke up to find the whole floor was wet. "First I have to say I am not a fussy traveler. Very easy going but this place should not be called a RESORT. Everything about it was dated and worn out. The furniture in my room and outdoor area was super dated and needed some attention. The pool was about 20 ft long. The hot tubs they have are neglected. The whole property is in need of a overhaul! The pictures did not show all this. I would not stay here if I were you!"

"The hotel is a happening place with both lobby and poolside entertainment. It's located downtown near all the best restaraunts. The valet parking is also convenient. My only "complaint", which the hotel is aware of, is that the bed headrests are showing serious wear and tear, so much so that there is a sign on them saying, while clean, they know they should be replaced. Hopefully, that sign won't be there a year from now."

"The property is centrally located for a visit to Sarasota. We had the junior suite which was spacious and comfortable. The pool and fitness center are very nice. The facility is definitely outdated and nothing “special”, although they try to dress it up with colorful decor. "Long line at check-in. Rooms were not ready. With corporate events, wedding(s), and other social events, staff was overwhelmed; delays in valet car service. As regular guests, we felt like we were in the way. Rufa's was closed Saturday night with no notice. Other guests were loud (children yelling well after midnight). Game room needs update. "
