"Resort grounds were beautiful, lots of activities for kids to keep them busy and entertained. Food was ok. Hard to get into restaurants so ate at buffet most of the trip. Long lines for everything; food, bars, check in and out. Resort seems to be over packed and short staffed. Room was clean and beds were comfy. Ac worked well. No water pressure and Sometimes no hot water for showers. Overall had a fair trip, but would not recommend or return. "

"Ocean Riviera Paradise had a magical feel to it, with so many different amenities. The staff was amazing! Our concierge Elias from Guest Services was a true Angel always available to answer our questions and make suggestions. Every resort/hotel should have an Elias on hand. I would definitely return to Ocean Riviera Resort."

"This is a great hotel for the area! The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the room was very clean with a great view! It’s a 7min walk to a beach and close to small markets!"

"Loved our stay here, the place is beautiful, lots of different food. The beach has lots of seaweed but the hotel had people cleaning it up. The beach was nice but it is very rocky, definitely recommend water shoes!"

"This is not the adults-only experience younger travelers might expect. The resort feels more geared toward seniors and has a very quiet, low-energy atmosphere. If you’re looking for a lively, child-free getaway, this may not be the right place for you. The food was also very disappointing. I’m not a picky eater, but the quality was far below what I would expect from a 5-star resort. I’ve stayed at 4-star resorts with much better food. To make matters worse, there was ongoing construction in two buildings — one near the main lobby and amenities, and one close to our room. We were not informed in advance and paid full price. The daily noise from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. made it hard to relax. Overall, I would not recommend staying here and suggest looking at other options."

"Room and pools were great. Staff was the worst I’ve encountered at a Mexican resort (this being our 4th trip). They constantly seemed annoyed with having to do anything. The family concierge is not useful at all. I’ve booked a similar concierge room at Palladium Kantenah last year and this is like night and day in terms of quality. We had to reach out to them on our 2nd day when it became obvious that they were not attempting to introduce themselves. We constantly had to remind them that we asked for things like ice (there are no ice machines in this resort, or at least not in the family section that we were in). They couldn’t get us any reservations other than 9pm which doesn’t work with young kids. When walking by the restaurants between 6 and 8, they were never full. Not sure why no resos are available if the restaurants are empty. Beaches were covered in sargassum, but that’s no fault of the hotel. it did however make the beach unusable. Room was big however hot tubs on balconies don’t work. You would have to fill your tub for hours to get enough water. This wasn’t just our room, we travelled with 6 other families and none worked. Some positives: pools and water park were great, buffet was good enough. Swim up bars were great and the drinks were well made. In summary, not worth upgrading to family concierge and this resort is far from 5 star. Closer to 3.5 if you want to be realistic."
