"Our Villa was not on the beach but it was spectacular. With a private pool and jacuzzi. It was family-friendly. Many activities for the kids. Bicycles were given to each family member. The beach area is amazing. It has a great restaurant and a nice pool. The restaurants at the hotel and at the other Mayakoba hotels are very good. The best part is the staff. They accommodate and coordinate everything you want. Our personal concierge Madai was GREAT! "

"This apartment-style hotel is unique, a beautifully quiet place to stay in in Playa del Carmen by the beach, some distance from the down town area, with bikes to rent. As the room qualities are beautiful and nicely equipped, a free cooked breakfast is good, easy access to the top floor pool and rest area, low numbers of guests and a very very reasonable price, with personalized service for taxis etc., this is a great stay."

Bad smells from blocked drains and there is a building site right next door. Jack hammers and noisy 3 out of 7 days. Cant stay in room. Also taxi ride to main tourist strip."

"Very family friendly resort. There is no ocean view from any of the rooms, you have to walk a lot to get around the resort. The food was not the best, very bland not a lot of options. If you love seafood they don’t really have seafood options. The only restaurant that had good food was bana. There was some miscommunication with restaurant reservations with a staff member so we didn’t get to experience the hibachi at bana, so that was a bummer. "The room was dated. Some cabinets were broken, shower and tubs were older with dirty fixtures. Pools were nice but some bars were also dated and dirty. The restaurants were great."
