Excellence Riviera Cancun - Adults Only All Inclusive

6/10 Okay

"Went on a solo trip. Almost none of the staff I walked past acknowledged me any saying hello, not even making any eye contact. I was sitting by the pool for over an hour and no staff came over to ask if I wanted order anything. I could see a waitress across the pool taking orders a couple of times but she never bother to walk around. There was some repair work being done on only way to the section where my room was, I had to walk on the grass and gravel to get through multiple times everyday. The beach was nice but I wasn’t impressed by the drinks or food."

"Buffet food was the best. All areas in the hotel and outside was very clean. All of the team members were friendly and helpful. Shows were wonderful. We had a wonderful stay. Unfortunately, the ocean had lots of sea weed. If you are a serious swimmer that might not be so good for you, otherwise it's wonderful. The beach gets cleaned every morning, but the sea weed returns by the evening. There are different activities throughout the day. Every evening there are different shows. Lots of entertainment. Playa Del Carmen is in the walking distance. Very pleasant walk, just make sure you grab water, sunglasses and hat. Lots of shops and things to look at."

6/10 Okay

"It was a good resort, not great per say. Food was average, Mexican restaurant was great. Most staff were friendly but a few were not the best. The privilege perks were definitely a must, swim up pool to the room was the highlight of our trip. Definitely a big resort and lots to do. At first they try to upsell you and push a timeshare, annoying but once you get past that you're good."
