"A friend of mine and I each got a room here. The rooms were so cool and the beach access is world class. The service is a little short of 2-3 star given that my shower water was not hot, but I sort of didn’t care until the last day when I just wanted a hot shower. The beach is gorgeous, the people working there are super sweet. There was a very nice woman who helped us get a super last min cab out of town and she was super helpful at the desk when our booked shuttle no showed. We took the bus...

"Upon arrival, all of the stuff was super sweet. I was traveling solo and since I already had a bad experience with the prior to hotel services, it was refreshing to receive service like Astral. Staff ALWAYS checked up on me to see if I needed anything from food to cleaning to small chats. Everyone was super kind. The room was clean, and there was hot water, the views from the bubble were incredible at night except maybe they could be power washed just a little to clean the debris from the trees...

"This is an amazing place to stay. I would stay again for sure. Very nice beach and you can take the electric car to go to the ruins. The only thing to keep in mind is that getting in and out of the hotel requires ordering a taxi from the hotel since they don't let anyone in and out of the park where the hotel is located. Very friendly staff and the room is very well equipped."

"Wow we were so satisfied with our stay at Ikal! We had the Maya suite and it was better than we expected (you had an entire yard for yourself!) and the whole feeling in the hotel area was really nice. The beach was also lovely and not crowded at all, very chill and nice vibe. Highly recommend! "

"My only problem was that we did not get the room we paid $800+ extra (about double the standard rate) to get for our honeymoon. Staff tried to make it right but I’m disappointed and feel misled. However everything else was a 5 star experience. The resort is gorgeous, loved the location l, and the staff was friendly - especially the restaurant staff. Speaking of the restaurant l, the food was insanely delicious. I would highly recommend Mi Amor. Just be aware you might not get the room you paid...

"Best layout for an active trip, the top floor rooms have access to pool bar and awesome gym . Rooms near to the doors are abit noisy from the bar there sometimes so get rooms slightly further away but on the top floor . "
