"Rooms were nice and clean, check in swift and staff friendly. Had the worst nights sleep of my life though. Had to move rooms at 12am as couldn’t get to sleep in my first room due to a constant drone sound from a pump in the building. Reception staff moved me immediately. Finally settled down in the new room only for the fire alarm to go off at 2am. I’m sure my experience would’ve been fine had it not been for those problems"

"Room very clean & tidy looks like a recent refurbish which was very well done , the only thing was the mattresses could do with renewing , which is the only negative thing to say about our stay was able to help ourselves to tea ,coffee etc when needed . "Wichtigster Punkt: Das "Doppelbett" ist max. 130cm breit, also viel zu schmal für 2 Personen! Wir hatten ein Zimmer im 1.OG zur Strasse: Der Verkehr direkt unterhalb des Fensters ist sehr laut. Motorradfahrer und getunte Autos drehen hier gerne nochmal ordentlich laut auf. Kein Zimmerservice, wir waren 3 Nächte dort, die Zimmer wurden nicht hergerichtet, war aber für uns okay, weil mit den kleinen Koffern am Boden das Zimmer komplett ausgefüllt war. "A lot of design flair has been put into The Kings Head interiors. Very comfortable. The choice of breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal we enjoyed there. The staff were very helpful as was their manager Tahir. The Kings Head is on the bus route into Winchester with a bus stop right outside. Very convenient for visiting the city. We were very impressed and would definitely stay again."
