"Cedar court is a nice clean hotel with everything you need for an enjoyable and restful stay. Rooms are spacious and well stocked with tea and coffee. The yorkshire dialect leaflet was a nice quirk. Parking was very reasonable at £4 for 24 hours with the option of longer. Navigation to the hotel is a bit tricky but once in its easy to park. Staff are really friendly and helpful. "Everything about our stay here was great. The staff were very helpful and caring. The room itself was outstanding - even had a view of York Minster. There was a tea service in the room including cookies and chocolates.The breakfast was the typical English breakfast which is a lot of food and it was all delicious. I would gladly stay here again."

"Note the hotel is surrounded by bars open until 4am and 6am and if your room is facing out on to the main road you might be in for a very sleepless night. The hotel have very little empathy, just along the lines of what do you expect, its in a city centre hotel,.thats the general attitude. Also outright lied and said they offered an alternative room which when i asked at reception was actually told an outtright "no we are fully booked but there are earplugs provided in your room". Such a shame...

"Very nice hotel and lovely breakfast too. We were with a toddler so cautious about the noise as there were many reviews about high noise level. When we close the windows, it didn’t bother us. It’s so close to many good restaurants and attractions. So we loved it."

"Two bulbs were not working so clothes unit and te a are were in the dark.The bathroom rack was red rusty where the towels were placed.Bathroom shelf was chipped all way along the edge.Needs repairs."

"Food was great and bar was well kept. Bed was comfy so comfortable in fact I overslept! Such a good find, not overly pretentious just good quality, helpful staff and good food. Perfect for a business stop over. WiFi was also reliable."

"Hotel is out dated, with visible dirty carpets in the lobby that show they have not been cleaned for years. Not recommended for people with allergies as the hotel was really stuffy from the dusty carpets. In the restaurant, there was always no staff to serve and take orders at breakfast. We had to go look for the waiter from reception which was also always unattended. Their English Breakfast the bacon was always dry, their mushrooms tasted like they been cooked using used oil. "Arrived earlier than expected, helpful lady on reception allowed us to check in early. Conveniently placed to walk into the city with easy motorway access when it is time to go. Have stayed a few times now and never disappointed"
