The bath drain was also blocked, something the hotel already seems aware of, as I later saw similar complaints in online reviews. It was disappointing to realise we had been given a room with an issue that had clearly been reported before. The staff were also quite unfriendly and unwelcoming. "Comfy easy access room with walk-in shower, very helpful staff. Surprisingly quiet given it was Eater Saturday night. EV charger parking spot was occupied for many hours by a non-electric vehicle and the adjacent spot occupied by an EV which was not on charge. Staff said they were not responsible for its use."

"Room was very dusty and was hot as sauna . Tv remote extremely dirty/sticky . No bottled water . Shower blocked . Toilet flush button broken . Food very expensive and not tasty . You have to pay service charge !!!! As a guest !!!Shame"

"Smart clean single room. Comfy bed. Clean bathroom. Lovely cooked breakfast. Plenty of choice including full English, kippers, cereals, fruit etc. Plenty of free parking places on the premises. "

"Quaint hotel in the centre of town. Good location for the castle and walks.. My room was in the main building. Room was a bit dated but clean and tidy with a proper walk in shower (a must for me) that was pretty decent for an old building. I didn’t have breakfast. Reception staff were friendly and helpful."
