"Toilet did not work upon arrival. A simple check prior to releasing the room would have avoided the problem. Beware of additional spa charges. I booked the room so my disabled partner could swim. "Lovely building, rooms and excellent service from staff. Spa good, but disappointed due to odorous water in outside hot tubs and excessive amount of foam and scum in the indoor hydro pool which put us off using the spa facilities due to concerns of cleanliness. A shame as everything else about our stay was exceptional. Complimentary room upgrade was appreciated although the shower tray was very slow to drain. "Really friendly friendly staff throughout the hotel, nice selection of food for breakfast, unfortunately the food temperature was not piping hot, could do with better warmers for breakfast food selection. Dinner was very nice, would recommended Haddock and chips. The room we stayed in (131) had a smell of drains which was very unpleasant on arrival to the room."
