"We enjoyed our 4 night stay and would return again in the future. We liked the location just outside York and with a Park & Ride just a few minutes away. The hotel is nice and staff helpful. The room we had was larger than most and had all the usual facilities (including a fridge), the decor was a little tired and could do with freshening up, also the bathroom needed updating. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend it at the price we payed."

"A lovely hotel retaining all its original features. There is on going renovation work bring undertaken with minimum disruption.
The standard of the breakfast could be improved and a few of the staff in the restaurant lack enthusiasm in their work. The majority of the staff are hard working and friendly.
The spa facilities are lovely."

"We loved this inn. The owners, Greg and Lou were so charming and helpful. The location is perfect, just outside the city walls on a quiet street adjacent to a large park. The gym and yoga studio were wonderful and so nice to have right there. There is also a sauna and cold plunge, which we did not use. The breakfast was great. Our room was spacious, clean, and charming. We give this a 10 out of 10 and would definitely recommend."
