It smelled like either an animal had died in the vent or the prior occupant had vomited all over the room without anyone cleaning. We checked out after 1 horrible night and switched hotels. At the front desk, they apologized and said to reach out to Expedia to coordinate the refund for the unused night. But when Expedia reached out, the property refused to refund us for the unused...

"Very nice hotel at a good price in a downtown Richmond location. The desk staff were super nice and very helpful. They have a very interesting elevator system where you touch the screen for the floor you want. When we were in the parking garage, it took me a while to figure out how to get to the lobby (which has its own logo at the bottom of the numbers). It is nice though because you typically have the elevator to yourself. The breakfast was simple, but good. The beds were comfortable, but I...

"Staff from front desk to concierge, bellmen, TJs bartenders and housekeeping were all wonderful. Property was impressive and meals at Lemaire were excellent. We felt pampered. Love the hotel and staff. "

"This staff were amazing, especially as Expedia didn’t communicate with them about the reservation. No problem for the staff as they made it right even though it wasn’t their fault. Centrally located to local restaurants and a short walk to the Allianz Amphitheater. "

"Our room was okay. However, the shower gel was empty. Couldn’t even get a squirt out of it. Maid service was only every three days, which was fine but on the third day, all they did was empty the trash and put fresh towels in the room. Didn’t make the bed, shower gel wasn’t filled. The “free” breakfast was a joke."

"Pros The facility is new, clean, and close to the airport. The buffet is satisfying and the weekend lady attendant at the buffet is very sweet and helpful and cheerful. Parking is plentiful and there are restaurants, stores and fast food nearby. Cons- the walls are paper-thin. We heard everyone and everything. We could hear one neighbor on a zoom call and literally understood everything he said. We could hear housekeeping in the hallway and another neighbor’s tv show and we could even tell...

"We booked a room with two beds, but when we checked in they were out of rooms with two beds. Had to share a bed with my teenage son. The room they gave us was on the first floor next to the elevator and very noisy. "

"The hotel and staff were great! Particularly liked Landi and Molly. The mini fridge in the room wasn't plugged in when we got there, but that is seriously the only thing that was slightly off. Great stay."

"Had a great timing staying at this special, fun place! Loved the decor, charm and of course pinball machines. The owner was kind and accommodating. I look forward to booking again next time I’m in Richmond."
