My stay at Hotel Maryelen was overall pleasant. The room was small, but very cute and comfortable, and the location was a major highlight. It’s very close to the train station and within walking distance to many attractions, which made getting around Rome incredibly convenient.
The property itself is charming, clean, and well-maintained. Housekeeping did a great job servicing the room daily, and the pastries offered in the morning were absolutely delicious.
One downside was the lack of flexibility from staff one morning. We had an early tour and asked if it would be possible to get a cappuccino before breakfast hours (which start at 8:00 AM), but unfortunately, they were not accommodating even though it was only 7:30 AM. That said, the staff was friendly and kind during the rest of our stay, which we appreciated.
It was also a bit noisy at night, which may be something to consider if you’re a light sleeper.
Also worth noting, the elevator is quite small, which can be a bit inconvenient with luggage.
Overall, it was a good stay thanks to the cleanliness, location, and cozy atmosphere. With a bit more flexibility in service and less nighttime noise, it would have been excellent.
