"We encountered several cockroaches in the room, including one that crawled over my head during the night. The blankets were quite thin. And in the shower it took a very long time for the water to get hot. On the plus side, the staff were very friendly and helpful. When we arrived the front desk helped us to sort out our parking situation in a very hands-on and helpful way."

"Lovely, quaint hotel. Staff are amazing. Building is older but well maintained. We had an inside facing room and asked for a street room and were promptly given one. Nice Matin is a great spot for drinks. Excellent escargot and fries. Stayed here when I first came to New York 20 years ago. So happy we came back."

"The woman that checked us in was fantastic & made our son feel like a million bucks. He was nervous about playing at Carnegie Hall, she saw his cello on his back & chatted with him about how special it is to play there. Everyone in the staff was also courteous & professional."

"Everything about the stay was wonderful — the upscale amenities, the room, and the excellent customer service. I do need to share one concern: a dinner charge for another guest was mistakenly billed to my room number. It seems the staff should verify guests more carefully when using room numbers. I didn’t notice the error until I reviewed the printed receipt at home. They are currently investigating, but the refund process has been taking longer than expected."
