My only exceptions were that on several occasions when I order room service I am advised to call within a short time period for recollection of the food tray; the room temperature never fell below 24F despite adjusting the thermostat to 10F and despite assistance from maintenance; and breakfast was always crowdy so it would be best to know the breakfast times when there is less foot traffic."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Sofitel Downtown. The staff particularly are really friendly and helpful. The location by the Nile was perfect for walks down the Corniche. The food was good at all their restaurants, the concierge set us up with our guide for three days at prices that were comparable to others per my research. I wish I had booked some time at the Spa, but the pool was lovely too. I’d highly recommend this hotel. "

"It’s in the middle of an Islamic district. Loads of cafes, shops etc but no bars. Hotel is a boutique style operation and therefore no “amenities “ as such but great location and very comfortable. Staff excellent. Would recommend "
