"In the middle of downtown...."

"No internet. No ability to cast to tv or use apps. Basic cable only. A brand be Phillips Google TV, with basic cable only. Odd for 2026. The carpet in our room was wet near the tub. It had a blower when we went in and never fully dried. Really wish the Expedia deal had not been non-refundable"

"Everything about the place was wow! I loved my room so much I didn’t want to leave . The staff round the clock at front desk were one of the best I have encountered anywhere. Kudos !!"

"Room was clean but a bit dated. It was nothing fancy at all but it worked. We liked how close it was to some shops & restaurants. We were able to walk to get the Ferry although they do offer a shuttle."

"It was great to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Close to the state park with lighthouse museum and fort michilimackinac within easy walking distance. The free shuttle bus to Sheplers ferry dock was also appreciated."

"I can’t believe I spend so much for a night at this hotel. The outside of the property and the lobby is nice and looks promising. However the room I stayed in was the 2nd worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels. The carpet was gross, and the bathroom was disgusting. The shower and floor were stained and it smelled musty and moldy to the point that I couldn’t be in there for more than a couple minutes before gagging. I wouldn’t shower in there and did my makeup...

"Room was absolutely filthy. Bugs smashed into the walls, dirt smeared on them as well. Turned on water for shower and the knobs leaked brown sludge. Nothing like the photos and the staff was nonchalant and unhelpful. 0/10. Don’t waste your money."

"The staff was friendly and the room was quiet and clean. The air conditioning worked well. The shower pressure wasn't very good. We weren't fans of the religious themes throughout the hotel. The television options were terrible - many hotels are switching to Roku or Amazon TV systems so guests can stream via their own accounts; this would be a major improvement."

"We knew it would be a good stay after being in the office for 30 seconds. This is truly a small mom&pop motel, the owner was very helpful and inviting while we checked in. You could tell she cared about the property. She even informed us they do a small campfire with smores in the evening. We sat around and had a few drinks with other guests and it creates an awesome atmosphere. As far as the room, for an honest review they are small. What they lack in size is made up for with quality. "Hotel is in a decent location and it is clean. Lake and Mackinaw Island views from the room are nice too. The property is old however and could use some updating particularly the lakeside (peeling trim, etc.)."
