"Hotel Maria Isabel in Ataco was such a cute, cozy family-owned stay. The hotel was small, peaceful, and had such a welcoming atmosphere. I would just train the wait staff a bit more we were waiting a long time to have our orders taken and than we wanted to order dessert but it toke too long. "We stayed here after hiking the Santa Ana Volcano. We were able to use the thermal pools for our aching bodies and got a massage a the spa. The food was not great but the service was good. Crazy roads leading up to the hotel as well. Otherwise the staff was very accommodating and the pools were great."

"Everything was clean, food was good, drinks on point. There’s only two buildings with elevator. The other buildings doesn’t have elevator so if you have elders and disabled people don’t bring too much luggage. Nice pools with sliders, nice beaches, nice bars, nice restaurants. Small gym barely no weights, disappointed. Front desk people are the worst, too much attitude and they act like they don’t care if you are a member affiliated customer. Other than that the rest of the staff were excellent....

"This is a old and dirty place, humidity odor, washroom with mold. No water pressure impossible to take a shower. The worst part, my wife and daughter were attacked by a big dog, owned by the receptionist. The dog broke my wife purse and daughter got a terrible panic and nobody helped them. Terrible experience. Expedia need to report this place. DONT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL"
