"Hotel has been around for a while. Break fast nothing to write home about. Location on a busy street. "

"The property is in pristine condition, and located right where all the action is in the Downtown Santa Monica. I love the decor. The aesthetic is quite homey. The mini bar is stocked with anything you could need during your stay. Even the soaps are nice! You will want to arrive before valet leaves for the day! Otherwise, ample parking is available in City Lot #11 (hourly)."

"Pool was okay, small but fine. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was not enough and we went out to find breakfast elsewhere. It was perfectly satisfactory but nothing amazing. Most importantly is was very clean. "

"I stay here whenever I come to Santa Barbara. It feels safe and is pretty. The Live Oak Cafe on site is convenient and serves simple, delicious meals. What I like more than anything else is how friendly and helpful the hotel staff are. As a single traveler, the hotel feels welcoming and secure because of the staff. I also love to walk in the neighborhood, often to a nearby park."

"Obviously it is an old building, which is to be expected, and part of the charm. With that said, the interior is tired. Beds with velvet fabric covering (hygene?) , shower/bathroom very cramped and not particularly clean. Some confusion about the entry code. They sent me one with a link that requested to fill out a check-in form. An hour later they sent me another code (Why?) after I had memorized the first and tried it in vain. Upon arrival internet service was out. They sent someone out to fix it but I almost missed my zoom call. "
