"The hotel is difficult to reach from a main road and one must walk up a very steep incline to reach the hotel which is poorly marked. No reception with difficulty in obtaining the entry codes. Then we were place at the very top room which had a very tight winding stairs without a handrail and was extremely difficult to lug a suitcase up. "The rooms might be a bit small but they are very clean and the location can’t be beat. The staff are very attentive and helpful with dinner suggestions and arranging travel. The breakfast included many fresh fruits and other alternatives. Very impressed with our visit!"

"Location is what its all about in Porto and this location was perfect...just literally around the corner from the Porto Cathedral and an easy (well uphill or downhill) walk to the train station. The accommodations were fine...we were two adult couples so be aware that one room was a loft overlooking the kitchen and sitting area. It does have two baths...one is downstairs and one is up. "The hotel was at the heart of the city and made it very convenient to commute to other places in the city! The service was impeccable - right from the check-in to check-out. I had to check-out very early in the morning and the hotel staff were so thoughtful with helping me arrange for a taxi to pick me up at a scheduled time and prepare a breakfast box for me to take. The room was beautiful and I loved using the spa amenities as well! Overall, I would highly recommend staying here! :-)"

"If you have been srolling for days looking for just the right place to sray in Porto - stop - and boook Casa Camelia. A small privately owned botique hotel it is well built using high end materials, clean and well maintained. We had a walk-out room directly into the patio and beautiful garden area. "This small boutique hotel is perfectly placed, immaculate in the lobby areas, well designed very clean modern rooms and delightful friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. We had a room at the back so no view (which we knew when booking) but very quiet compared to those at the front looking out onto ribeira square, so down to personal choice. Literally steps from the beautiful Duoro river and so many excellent restaurants to choose from all within a 5 minute walk. There was an issue in many rooms...

"The overall stay was good but I just wish the check in process were better that they could have inform us a little bit earlier before we arrive or checked in. I emailed them before arrival but they reply really late. We stayed there from Sunday to Wednesday and there's a change in the gate code to get inside the building. They never informed us. They told me to email me the new code instead of just saying it directly and I waited for their email which never came. So I have to call them and ask...
