"Rooms were very spacious, perfect breakfast, lovely staff. Pool facility was basic woth some tiles needing repair. The lifts location was very far from lobby."

"Did a late-check in which was difficult to organise on the day (search for the hotel for contact details, the number on Expedia just rings out) however after-hours security can get you in with booking number, ID and credit card ($200 deposit). 2-ply toilet paper was really disappointing after the impression the lobby made. Short walk from public transport and amenities. Would recommend if this was cheaper than the $230ish we paid p/night."

"Mould in the shower, noisy tenants appeared to be a halfway house which was not disclosed. Smoking in the carpark and cigarette butts everywhere. The 2 flights of stairs it took to get to my room with a toddler were worn and a risk of slipping, especially in the wet weather. No lift and the one way driveway was a real risk, especially with parking on one side of the already restricted driveway. "The hotel itself is affordable, good location and good for a short stay. The staff were not transparent when it came to costs however. They stated they would ‘get us an ocean view room’ instead of a city view, implying an upgrade at their cost and kindness which we were delighted to hear. Only to be advised that we had to pay over a hundred dollars to be upgraded at our cost. They also advised the parking was $30 per night, only to be charged $35 on the second and subsequent nights. "Hilton is the best place I visited in Gold coast so far. The location is amazing and the cleanliness of the property is spotless. In addition the staff are so friendly,welcoming and helpful. I loved the Hilton and will definitely come back soon ."
