"Wanted to cancel due to a *********** & *******- contacted hotel via Expedia requesting consideration for a non-refundable room refund - my message was ignored by hotel and have not had a response from hotel despite Expedia requesting feedback on our stay - disappointed with service from both parties."

"The room was fine, not exceptional, for me, as I was only staying for 6 nights. I hadn't booked breakfast as it was only offered on a Sunday, but there is a "Sandwich Stop" attached to the hotel in the car park. Parking was adequate, but trying to exit onto the busy main road was a nightmare, as the hedges were so overgrown and hadn't been trimmed, so it was impossible to see traffic approaching from both directions. "Staff were polite and welcoming. The lady at the desk in the dining room took time to walk around checking guests were OK. I gave an overall 4- star because my request for late check-out wasn't effected and I had to go back to reception to get it implemented. "

"If you are visiting Sheffield you can’t go wrong with a stay at this hotel. So easy into sheffield( we were at the Arena) lovely and clean and new. Fab staff and service and food was great in restaurant."

"The hotel was lovely all round from the staff, the food and the marquee. The breakfast and buffet food were really nice. We were given a room next to the marquee which was a great location for us as we attending the wedding reception. "Just a lovely, family owned place. Very well thought out. Great place for dinner and breakfast. Nice area to walk to the reservoir. A good spot if you’re in the Chatsworth area. Very spacious rooms, great value, very clean!"

"Fabulous stay. Lovely, spacious, spotless twin room with very clean, modern en suite. Everywhere is extremely clean and very well maintained. Plenty of parking and a fantastic outside area for sunny days. Staff very friendly and helpful. Generous meal portions and absolutely delicious! We joined in the quiz night and were even greeted warmly (and helped!) by the locals. We will definitely be staying again!"

However, the very old lift did not work - not a problem for me but others may struggle with the stairs. In the bathroom the water pressure was very low and the drainage from the basin was slow."

"A lovely clean comfortable double room with access to snacks, tea and coffee, fresh milk and treats on every floor. Chilled water was free from reception. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of continental and cooked. All the staff were superb and very helpful. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend all at a reasonable price."
