Our room was the double bunk beds and the beds were very creaky and loud. Every motion in the upper bunk created a lot of noise for sleeping below. "The location is perfect for walking and bus access anywhere oin Kyoto. The street is quiet, beautifully paved, with a canal and trees on one side, and the beautiful river walks on the other. It was the prettiest neighborhood we saw in Kyoto and we traveled all over! "We stayed in 3 different hotels during this vacation, & the room we had at Ori had the only window that provided good natural sunlight. The room was so welcoming the moment you walk in. The accent lighting was pleasant; kitchenette with a microwave, 1 set of W/D in each floor, 300Y per wash; the only concern we had was the door to the toilet area that had a 3 slim panel closure, it made a loud noise every time you try to close it, & we could hear the other rooms having the same issue; loved that...
