"I stayed at this hotel in March of 2016 with my husband. Although we liked the large, beachfront rooms, the service was absolutely terrible. It took almost 2 hours for lunch to be served because the waitstaff were all seated trying to watch a soccer game. "Not a hotel. 2 separate 'bungalows' with a common area kitchen, pool and palapa. We did not have a car but found a local in Playa El Tunco who knew the location and found us a driver. Could be a real challenge for first time arrivals (no sign). Spanish speaking caretakers live nearby eager to please. Bit of a hike to El Tunco, plus 100 or so steps to the bungalows. Very dark at night hiking from town. Would be better for small group self catering. Price too high for what you get."
