"Stayed at two other California hostels in the past couple of years and this one was by far the best. Very private double bed, great bathroom facilities, and overall just a really great experience. My only complaint would be that the kitchen area is small. Hard for more than one person to move around in there."

"We got what we paid for-downtown Gaslamp. We were in walking distance to Petco Park, Little Italy, the waterfront and restaurants. Use the earplugs they provide. The staff was friendly and accommodating. ."

"-Fireplace was tricky to use and barely worked -TV was also not working properly -Shower was very sensitive and would get way too hot or way too cold and lose pressure in the process -Flew in early due to cheap flight, wasnt able to check in until 4(??) I thought maybe 1 or 2. This was stressful since we had an event to get ready for that started at 6. We we were only able to get in because our friends (who had VIP checkin) name dropped us even though there was a room ready and we were not...

"Great location and a charming boutique hotel. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I loved the thoughtful touch of having coffee and small snacks available on the floor, tucked away in a hidden wardrobe. There’s also more affordable public parking just two blocks away, which was very convenient. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay. One small suggestion: it would be nice to have a complimentary bottle of water available in the room without any extra charge."

"They had a succulent wall garden on the second floor and table and chairs. Coffee and tea readily available on this floor and 3rd floor. An historic building well maintained. Restaurant very nice. Had breakfast and supper. Delcious. Very clean."

"Stayed here for 4 nights and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. I understand Moxy is meant to be more casual and compact, but the rooms felt old and not well maintained. The bed was uncomfortable, there was barely any closet or storage space, and no complimentary water in the room. Housekeeping only cleaned the room once during my entire stay, and I had to call and request it myself. Overall, the hotel feels overdue for updates and better service standards."
