"We enjoyed our stay. However out of 4 nights of our stay one night sleep was interupted by noisy guests returning to their room at 1 pm followd by another gentleman swearing, yelling and banging for at least 30 minutes at 2/3pm. there was allso some functions held at the venue where resident guest parking was made difficult by the sheer number of cars parking for the functiobns. "First time staying here, we were there for 2 nights. Reception staff were lovely, really friendly every time we spoke to them and even had a laugh on the phone. Proper nice vibe. Breakfast staff felt a bit abrupt though, like you were being rushed while eating which wasn’t great. The room itself was beautiful, at the top floor. "Awful place. Couldnt lock room door. Bedding was dirty and had not been changed from previous customer. Drunk people in next room. Bar very noisy. Food edible. "

"Beautiful hotel rooms are well kept and in excellent condition. The food in the bowes incline is the best around I could have stayed at a relatives house but wanted to eat and have a drink here - delicious!"

"Premier room was tatty… curtains had hole in them, some off hooks, bed throw had mark on it. Despite asking for the room to be serviced and leaving the sign on the door - it wasn’t - I was told they missed it because I was at the end of the corridor!"

"The thermostat to the radiators didn’t work so we couldn’t turn the temperature down and were therefore uncomfortably hot and got limited sleep. The mattress added to the lack of sleep as it was very uncomfortable. The door to our room you could close from the inside with a hard shove but you couldn’t close from the outside so we couldn’t leave anything valuable in the room. "Do not stay here, it needs demolishing. If you are desperate for somewhere to sleep consider getting a sleeping bag and sleeping on the streets! It was a walk in, walk out and find another hotel scenario!"
