"We had a wonderful stay at DOCAS. The service was excellent, and the manager was especially warm and attentive. Breakfast is a must — book it in advance; the quality was outstanding. We also had dinner one evening and found it very good value. The setting is beautiful: the restaurant faces the Douro, with views toward Cruz Alta and the red bridge."

"I suspect this hotel was probably really nice when it first opened, but it’s very evident throughout the property that maintenance has not been a priority. It’s a good hotel to lounge at in between days in Lisbon or Caparica, but beyond that I wouldn’t recommend.
Most of the staff seemed disengaged or disinterested. The poolside bar was open at unpredictable hours. The spa area and sauna felt very unclean."

"We stayed here for almost a week during our honeymoon in the Algarve, and honestly, it was absolutely magical. ❤️ We loved it so much that we have already booked our next stay for June 2027!
From the moment we arrived, everyone was so sweet and genuinely excited for us when they found out we were on our honeymoon. We felt so welcomed throughout our entire stay, and it made an already special trip even more memorable.
The resort feels like its own little peaceful village. We had our own...
