"The property was great for what we needed this trip. We needed something close to public transportation, the airport and Oakland Arena. The hotel itself was nice. It was clean and we always saw workers cleaning. Our room was spacious, had bathroom amenities, fridge and nice, cozy beds. When we opened the door to our room it had the smell of old cigarettes, but opening the window helped. (Hopefully they see this and take care of it) The pool was small, but perfect! Of course you’re always a little weary when having to stay in Oakland but to be honest this property was not bad at all. "This is a gorgeous property, and conveniently located for Walnut Creek and Lafayette. The lobby, and grounds are beautiful. The rooms are spacious and the bed cozy. "If you are on a tight budget, this is a good place. I stayed for a week and it was MUCH cheaper than staying in San Francisco. VERY close to the beach! Only thing in-between is a bowling alley. You can see the sand from the hotel entrance. I will say, the crowd that was staying there the whole time I was there, were VERY disrespectful people. Leaving the pool area a mess for days. "I will never stay there again. I was having a conversation and the security was called because our voices were too loud. No screaming involved. Also, they rush you out before check out time. I shouldn’t have someone knock on my door to ask me when my check out is at 10am. Awful experience."
