"Perfectly located near the castle in the middle of all the action. Peacocks are everywhere. Make sure you book a taxi because Ubers are not allowed. And get a smaller vehicle so you can get close to the front door. Otherwise you will be hauling your bags up cobblestone streets. Highly recommend the hotel for its charm, history & friendly staff."

The room we stayed in was once a large room with a beautiful, ornate, high ceiling, later converted into an entry area, central bathroom, and bedroom. The way the room was cut up ruined its charm and elegance and left each space feeling awkward. "

"After a very lengthy research on hotels, we decided to book this hotel and we were not disappointed. This is a very beautiful hotel in a very central convenient location. Hotel itself is beautiful but it is the staff that made our stay exceptional. Front desk staff are amazing , from the time we checked in and checked out, they took very good care of us. They helped us with all our questions and provided multiple recommendations. Definitely recommend this place when you are in Lisbon 10/10. "
