"Really great service at this little boutique hotel. They helped us arrange multiple travel trips. This hotel is embedded deep in a famous and busy hutong alley (Nanluoguxiang), and the staff made sure to greet us at the alley entrance to make sure we found the hotel ok. They also accompanied us back out to make sure we met our drivers for other day trips. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. Despite its location in a busy tourist area our room was very quiet! The room was small with a tiny window for natural light, but we didn’t care since our goal was to be out exploring the city. On that front this hotel is great. Easy walking access to many Beijing sights and we love being in the hutongs. The subway is only a few minutes away, as is access to cabs. It’s a hard location to beat. If your priority is more on experiencing a city and less on hotel luxuries, this place is great. It’s a comfortable place to be after a day’s events. Hotel is family friendly as well. We traveled with our 9yo."

"We visited the hotel during a busy period and getting in required going through security. It was a fairly quick process however. We also had an issue with housekeeping not doing a great job making up our room. The bed would be lumpy and on one occasion it was made over a bathrobe instead of moving the bathrobe to make the bed. I told Tom the front desk staff and they were great. They really tried to rectify the situation and make sure we were happy/comfortable even though it really wasn’t their fault."

"If you adore historical and unique properties, but appreciate modern conveniences and luxury, this place is for you. Alice and her staff were so helpful and kind as we navigated a new city in a foreign language. They were trustworthy and made us feel comfortable and at ease. Anything we needed help with, they were wonderful. We got the family suite for 2 adults, 2 kids and it was perfect. It gave us the space to unpack and feel at ease. Laundry was convenient. The sheets and duvet were fresh and clean, the bed very comfortable. The balcony surrounded with tiled traditional roofs, the gardens and blooms all around us, the views, were so stunning. The hotel is also next to a very popular traditional neighborhood for shopping and restaurants which my kids could walk to themselves. Everything felt safe and easy. The hotel restaurant served afternoon tea and a delicious, filling breakfast. This hotel is a very easy win for our family!"
