In addition to being centrally located, the hotel is part of an arts center that has been reconstructed/renovated from the Christchurch earthquakes. The history is fascinating! Although everything I loved was still in place, my room this time was very small. This time I was travelling for business, and really could have done with a desk. My bad for not checking.
My other issue was I arrived quite late (8pm - which they knew), on a very cold night. There was no heating on in the room - it would have been a nice touch to have turned that on, even on low. "
