"Extremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. Kitchen is on lowest floor. Entry and dining and parlor are on street level, and there is no bathroom on that floor. So it’s a trek from kitchen to loo. The top floor...

"The good points are that the room was clean and hotel central. The bad points are that the hotel is very run down and nothing like the website photos. The furniture is old and cheap. The mattresses so soft they offer no support. The facilities are minimal. Staff sullen and grudging. Avoid as much better hotels & inns available. "

"Incredible location close to everything, friendly staff, good value. The rooms are basic but comfortable, with nice views, lots of amenities including kettle, full bath. Llangollen is a beautiful, friendly town with local shops/no franchises. There are wonderful walks along canals to waterfalls, deserted abbeys. "

"Am giving yhis a very low rateing of 2 stars. I payed £130 for a room breakfast and use of pool. Put on arrival i got told pool and sauna is not included to which i had tp pay exter £10 each. The pool and the spa was cold The steam room stayed on for 5min then went off for 10min as it was on a timer we then had to pay extra for breakfast This is not clealy showing on there site as you pay for just room only. when i booked myself in at the desk the afternoon staff at the desk were very helpful....

While some holiday rentals can feel sparse and functional, in contrast it is obvious that a lot of thought and care has been put into making the cottage feel like a home. "Food was wonderful. Room was very clean, with a lovely tray of tea, coffee and biscuits. They have an information pack in the room that gives all relevant information. They have information available for walks in the local area. It is in the middle of nowhere, so use the restaurant if here for a night. "
