"This hotel has complimentary parking, which was a big advantage. Parking is not readily available in San Francisco. The location is excellent. It is within walking distance of Chinatown and Fisherman's Wharf. The property is older, but well kept. Our room was very nice. As far as staffing, Leida is awesome! Check in and out we're both easy. "The renovations (since it was known as the Sir Francis Drake) created a very nice and pleasant atmosphere. Noise level on the Powell Street-side was relatively high due to a combination of the trollies and late-night conversations/shouting in the street. Otherwise, the stay was fantastic. Note: I unexpectedly ended up extending my stay and was moved to another room. The noise was not an issue at all on the Union Square facing side of the hotel."

"There was nothing in the room except 2 water glasses in the bathroom. The complementary coffee downstairs was weak (and fake cream). No store to buy sodas etc. (just a vending machine). Front desk people were friendly but didn't even know the closest location to buy real coffee and a bagel. Not staying there again."
