"Lovely old house. Loads of character. Very spacious room with Super sized bed which was so comfy! Lovely big bath with shower and lots of lovely hot water. Excellent breakfast included. David the host very friendly and helpful. Bonus visit on arrival from Figgy, the gorgeous cocker spaniel who tried everything to get titbits at breakfast "

"Ich kam sehr spät an und wurde nett begrüßt.Zimmer war leider eiskalt. Am nächsten Tag funktionierte die Heizung etwas besser aber das Badezimmer war immer noch sehr kalt. Wir haben das Zimmer getauscht und es war perfekt warm. Sehr nettes Personal von Zimmerreinigung bis Restaurant und Bar. Essen und Drinks einwandfrei."

"We've stayed here several times and the staff are always friendly and the food very good. It's in a great location with easy access to buses going to the centre, plus there's ample parking. Rooms vary - this time we booked two nights in a Deluxe which had a lovely view and spacious bathroom. The decor isn't perhaps what you would expect in such a grand Scottish building but the glitzy wallpaper and large silver horsehead bedside lamps might go as the hotel is currently being refurbished. "Stayed over Christmas. Beautifully presented rooms with mini kitchen. Bed was comfortable and the room was spotless! free drinks and snacks in the evening for 2 hours which was a nice touch! Christmas morning there was a stocking on the door with mini Gins, fever tree tonics, good quality chocolate, candy canes and fruit which was thoughtful and delicious! I would stay here again the staff are exceptional they really make you feel welcome! "
