"Are room was upgraded for no apparent reason. Had a fireplace a hot tub and a shower. Up on the 4th floor with a balcony. Had great Mountain View. The room was spotless and spacious. The are renovating some rooms so there is construction material and equipment in the back. Had little interaction with the staff, since there was never a need. Great stay, will be back."

"If you are looking for an inexpensive roof over your head and not much else, this is the place. Overall property is very dated 1970's - 80's and worn down. Lots of peeling paint and rust. The room was dimmly lit and the bed was just ok. The water was hot but didnt stay the same temperature, it would go slightly up or down in temperature while you were showering. The worst part was the drain did not drain very fast. So if you take any longer than 5 minutes in the shower you were ankle...

"The room was clean and on the small side. It is situated across the street from Saranac Lake. We liked the fact that they had areas to sit outside the rooms and also a couple gazebos . It was quiet and a great place to relax after an active day."

"The room itself was nice, it smelled good and there was plenty of space to unwind. We had been excited to use the advertised pool and bicycles but the pool was "under construction" the entire weekend and when we asked about using the bikes we were told that they hadn't built them yet and they were unusable. Had we have known we could not use the features we booked the room for we would have booked with a different hotel. It is unfortunate as the room was not cheap to begin with."

"The property is old, the docks are run down . The shower didn't drain, I had water over my ankles . No internet or TV. Told by staff we could not use the pool. This is the 2nd time staying here, we will not be giving this property another chance"

"The place was very accessible to shopping and tourist areas like High Falls Gorge and Whiteface Mountain. Breakfast was good. The only thing we didn’t like was the shower since the water from there flows right into the toilet. No clearcut divided except for the curtains. Other than that, our stay was great."

"Well, remember the Legendary saying “you get what you pay for” this is not exactly a four-star property. It served the purpose it was in Lake Placid. The price was right, but it almost became like an episode from the twilight zone I arrived at the same time two other guests arrived, and literally the person who came out to help us. Didn’t know how to speak English. It was bizarre then the two people ahead of me were handed a phone and talked with someone for about 8 to 10 minutes and then...

The staff was very friendly and helpful with any needs. The continental breakfast had a good variety of. We would stay there again if ever in the area."
