"Our room was large and clean with space to spread out our luggage without being in the way. The bathroom had a little closet feature to hang wet clothes and store toiletries. We got upgraded to an ocean view room, so we could hear the waves although there was a hedge in the way so we couldn’t see the ocean from our bed, but that’s not an issue. "The property is just down the road from the high-end Wailea hotels and stores, but without paying the high-end Wailea room rate. Pool looked inviting although did not use on such a short stay, and the free breakfast was good with plenty of seating. Would recommend going to the Monkeypod restaurant located few hundred feet from hotel and known for unique Mai Tais. Would come here again"

"The Historic Wailuku Inn was absolutely lovely! The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. We appreciated beach towels being provided. Free parking was also a plus! The biggest perk was Ian the chef! He was incredible!!! His food was delicious and he was so kind and helpful. We really enjoyed getting to know him and all the care he took in providing for the guests. Ian was truly the cherry on top!"

"The property was nice, staff were really good but our 1 Bedroom Suite needs to be updated. The mat in the front door was so old and dirty. The bedroom was small, hallway in the unit was small and tight. Bathroom ceiling was dirty and had a hole. Our air conditioner went out 2X. Hallway path towards the room was so dark. Please make some change."

"Be warned that even tho you can book thru Expedia the property chastised me in capital letters to never communicate thru Expedia. Perhaps put that in the listing. Also the kitchen had 2 forks and spoons only. The pictures look nicer than it is"

"Mana Kai Maui had a great location in Kihei with beautiful sunset views. It was a good value stay but nothing special-- if you don't intend to spend a ton of time in your room this is a great location to have as a home base and then go to other spots around Maui."

"The staff was nice. Has the illusion of a secured area with locked fencing from the road but car was broken into even with a 24 hour staff presence. Our room was relatively clean but a lot of bugs and spiderwebs inside the room. Honestly been to Maui quite often and would never stay here again or recommend to any friends to stay. A lot of potential but certainly not worth the price."
