We love the location first and breakfast second. The room was good and bathroom was comparable to American bathrooms therefore I give it a great rate for bathroom. Overall our room was wonderful.

The Hotel is a mix of modern rooms on one side and in other rooms they have a old world charm with ornate décor. Hotel is on the main path to St. Mark Square and close to all restaurants and Rialto Bridge. The restaurant was pretty nice as will.

It is an older property, but very convenient to the heart of San Marcos. Octavia the bartender and night bar manager really took good care us and a good conversationalist. I would stay here again.

Perfect location, between Rialto and San Marco. Ideal for visiting Venice sights. Lovely situation by canal, and outdoor court restaurant. Character hotel, and good value, although the room itself was tired. Strongly recommend.

We got the room in the attic our first night, very small and might be OK for newlyweds or a couple, but too small for my Mom and I. Luckily a larger more comfortable room opened up and we very much enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean, the staff attentive and the location was amazing. The restaurant is great, its lovely to sit on the balcony after a busy day and people watch and unwind. Highly recommend.

We booked a superior room with city view and on arrival questioned whether it was a superior room? They advised it was . We looked out to air conditioning units. Didn’t feel reception staff were over accommodating No tea/coffee facilities in room. Bathrooms need updating Quiet enough within hotel

Hotel is in a fantastic position for exploring Venice on foot, but easy to navigate from identifiable areas. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Some areas starting to show a bit of wear and tear. The only real downside of the room was the shower. Poor positioning and couldn’t get it to spray in the right direction at all. Ended up having to hold it. We had a room that had a connecting door (locked) but could hear a lot from the neighbouring room through this. That said, would stay here again without question.

The Hotel is older and could some updating. The air conditioner did not work properly. we were told it was an old unit and that there was not much they could do. The bathroom floor and around the shower did not look clean. We called down to the the front desk and told them our concerns.( they did not even come in our room to look at our concerns) They came to our room and told us they had 1 more room left. We went up to the 6 floor to check out the room and yes, it was better. But, the shower head had a towel wrapped around it. we found out why when we showered. The water squirted in every different direction Causing water to go everywhere. For the money we paid, I would definitely go somewhere else.

A Special Place

What a fabulous place! We have visited Venice many times before, but as this was a special anniversary trip for me and my wife, we took a while to choose the perfect hotel. This one, minutes walk from both San Marco and the Rialto was perfect. Our room had a view out over a busy canal junction and there was always something entertaining going on, from gondola jams and construction boats, to overladen trolleys being assisted over the bridge by long suffering porters. Our room was a more tradionally styled one, with drapes and chandeliers, as well as a marble bathroom. I would have liked somewhere to fix the shower head on the wall, but there was plenty of hot water and the pressure was great. Housekeeping visited at least twice a day, so despite our best efforts (a couple of hours on the Lido beach, with very sticky sand!) the room was always spotless. No tea or coffee maker in the room, but morning drinks could always be collected from the restaurant and mineral water was supplied every day to the fridge in our room, which proved essential for keeping Prosecco cold. Breakfast was served in the lovely restaurant, which has a partially covered exterior section looking out over the canal. It was a buffet, but there was always fresh fruit salad and a huge variety of bread, pastries and cakes to choose from, as well as hot food. The coffee was delicious and freely available. This hotel has two lifts, and the staff were all helpful, friendly and spoke excellent English if needed.

I absolutely loved this hotel and room. Could be my favorite hotel in the world. Just adorable lobby and room. We didn’t eat in the dining room because of our schedule but it looked great too.

Location was ideal. Breakfast buffet was a bargain for the hotel guests. Front desk staff were there to answer all our questions about directions, places to go and transportation. Carmen gave us a recommendation to go to Murano with free transportation. The glass factory tour was a highlight. We also went to Burano. Because of Gioia’s suggestion, we had a relaxing afternoon at the beach on Lido. A beautiful hotel!
