"Finally a hostel in new zealand that is able to provide the essentials: body wash in the showers, private light and outlet next to each bed, and even a curtain for privacy. "Stayed for one night to hike Tongario Crossing. Great location as bus picks you up right out front. Reception was hit or miss with friendliness, but suffice it to say everyone has a bad day. However, one of the friendly employees lent me her jacket! Facility is a bit run down and the “extended stay” guests were .... well. Overall good location for Tongario. Free parking was easy to find. Kitchen was well equipped. Standard hostel rooms/beds. "

"My stay at Turtlecove Accommodation was very comfortable, and I would highly recommend it to travelers passing through Whitianga. It is located within walking distance of the town centre, two grocery stores, and a number of lovely beaches. The staff members were extremely helpful and the facilities were kept very clean. The rooms were tidy and well ventilated and the common areas were spacious. "

"It was exactly what we needed. the instructions for late check-in were clear and much appreciated. The sight of complimentary earplugs on the nightstand made me a bit nervous, but it was surprisingly peaceful when we stayed (mid week)"

"Location was great, like 1~2 mins away from the closest seashore and we can see the sunset! Town centre is also in 1 min, which was good. Only what I wished is the Wi-Fi connection. Connection was good in the Lounge but not strong enough once getting in to the room. "
