"We loved our room here. We had a studio apartment on the first floor and it was just what we wanted. We were able to get some groceries nearby and make some meals in our room which is a big plus. The rooms were clean and spacious and the location is perfect. Right off the subway to get anywhere you need to go in DC. So many cool buildings and things to see while walking around the area. Definitely a lot of history. "

"I stayed at the AKA White House for just one night, and since it's an apartment hotel, my room was huge, as large or larger than my own condominium. It was beautifully furnished with a full kitchen, a powder room, washer/dryer, and closed off bedroom with full bath/shower. I was hardly able to enjoy all the amenities in a single night's stay, but I was impressed and the space was very clean. My only suggestion is that the shower/bath get updated, since it has a sliding door that's a bit...

"Very nice boutique hotel. Great location. Reasonably priced. My room was spacious- actually like a studio apartment. The one criticism was the light that came through the bedroom window. They totally need blackout curtains. They didn’t have anything to block out the light coming from the busy street. It’s a super easy fix. They really need to make the room darker in order to have a good night sleep."

"The property is older, has smaller rooms, worn public spaces and not special but charges like it’s the a brand new Ritz or Four seasons. It does not deserve the four stars. "
