"I chose this hotel to be near the racecourse. It is 30sec away. There is one even nearer but it is a Holiday Inn Express. Potential guests should understand this is an 'unstaffed' hotel. No kitchen, no meals and no concierge. You have a keypad for the main door and another one for your room. You let yourself in and out. And there is a machine where you can leave a tip! "Staff were very friendly and location was close to Chester, only 8 minutes into the town centre. Unfortunately the hotel could do with a big refurbishment. Floor boards were creaky everywhere and especially bad in our bedroom. The changing rooms for the pool smelt. The pool itself is ok although the water wasn't very clear. I was also annoyed that I had booked 2 rooms as there 3 adults in our group, only to find in our room a double bed and then a separate bedroom with a further 2 single beds!"
