"Lovely well maintained modern rooms with sparkling bathroom and plenty of hot water for great shower. Nice to see eco facilities. Breakfast and dinner were superb and akin to gastro pub quality and generously portioned. We wouldn’t hesitate to return next time we visit family in the area. Staff were friendly and accommodating at all times."

"At check out we had small issue about the parking and Sema was wonderful to, helped us to the car, gave us tips on getting around and was a delight! Everyone was nice and friendly but she was exceptional. Only negative I had was no orange juice at breakfast. Was empty and it was not refilled. Minor complaint."

"Great location, beautifully decorated room and good quality bedding, towels, toiletries etc. However .. our room (9) was TINY .. the gap on one side of the bed was approx 8 inches between the bed and the wall so very difficult to navigate safely particularly at night without stubbing your toe on the one side or bumping into to door handle on the other. "The hotel is modern, the room is properly laid out and spacious, beds are comfy, bathroom/shower area is awesome, love the towel warmer. The location is accessible and near to bus and train station, During night time, the areas around the hotel is well lit. and most importantly, Staffs are friendly and helpful."

"We were so impressed by this hotel. We only paid around £60 and had a lovely clean, modern room with tea and coffee making facilities. The only negative I can think of is that the carpet is a bit threadbare in the corridors but that made no difference to our experience. We were lucky to have a view over the lovely marina. The staff were ultra friendly and helpful. Free parking very close by and bars and restaurants also very close. I would highly recommend this hotel and I am just about to book...

"We always stay at the Royal Hotel if we are in WSM for the night. In terms of being in a central location it can't be beaten. It's a traditional and spacious hotel. The staff always go above and beyond to assist you. It's a beautiful, old building. We had a twin room and the bathroom was larger than my living room. Wonderful sea views. I miss the view already! Very highly recommended. Haven't tried the food sadly but it looks delicious!"
